THE AUTHOR

John R. P. Mwakyusa is an Associate Professor of Marketing at the University of Dar es salaam where has been an academic staff since 2001. The author hails from Masoko-Tukuyu and was born in 1970 to Philemon Basuke Mwakyusa and Salay Sambogo. This is his second novel, a follow up to his premier novel titled It Can’t Be True that was published in 2017. The author is a member of the Bible Study Fellowship (BSF). He did his O-level and A-level at Njombe and Tosamaganga Secondary Schools in Njombe and Iringa regions. He credits his formative writing skills to two mentors: Raymond Nyagawa (Waiyaki) and Cecilia Kabyemera of Njombe Secondary School. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce and PhD degrees from the University of Dar es Salaam, as well as a Master of Business Administration degree from Makerere University in Uganda.
